EUAA Report – Impact of Emission Prices on Electricity Prices in the NEM

The EUAA today has released its report into the Impact of Emission Prices on Electricity Prices in the NEM.   This paper reports on a study of the impact of emission prices on wholesale electricity prices in the National Electricity Market (NEM).  The purpose of this study is to understand the extent to which producers and consumers have borne the cost of the Government’s emission reduction policy that took effect on 1 July 2012 under the Clean Energy Act.
